TWO TINY HOUSES

IN VIENNA

LIVING SPACE

LIVING SPACE

Two houses for one family in a Viennese allotment garden settlement. Each 50 m2 built up area and 265 m3 enclosed space. Strict specifications. Compact design and slim wooden frame construction. One residential house and one sleeping house.

On one side is the varied community area on three levels, on the opposite side the retreat area with the private rooms.  The courtyard formation serves as a privacy screen in the densely built-up area with small plots of land.  Deliberately placed openings allow undisturbed views of the city or the beautiful garden.

The houses are cooled and heated with geothermal energy through deep drilling, thus the energy demand is covered all year round from renewable energy generated on the property.
